Dr. Elias Salagaras

Eli is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. He attained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide. Dr. Salagaras has extensive hospital and community-based experience across all domains of medical care in both the metropolitan and rural settings.

He has an interest in paediatric and geriatric medicine, alongside broad interests in all aspects of health care.

Dr. Salagaras is dedicated to patient-centered collaborative care, effective communication, and optimising patient outcomes.

Outside of his professional life, Eli is an avid cook. Feel free to ask him about his latest culinary adventures!

After graduating from the Flinders University of South Australia in 1997, Linda completed 5 years of hospital training in various medical specialities. During this time, she worked in the UK for 12 months and completed a Diploma of Child Health (SA) at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. Linda entered into General Practice Training in 2003 and completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2005.

She has a special interest in children’s and women’s health issues. In her spare time, she enjoys choir singing, playing the violin, and is a regular member of the Australian Doctors Orchestra.

Angela obtained her undergraduate medical degree from Adelaide University in 1989. She worked in General Practice in Darwin for 12 years where she completed her Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1992 and Fellowship of General Practice in 1994. She returned to Adelaide in 2001 joining Hyde Park Medical Clinic.

Angela practices in all areas of Family Medicine including minor surgical procedures.

Bruce obtained his medical degree from Flinders University in 1984. Over a long career he has worked in both rural and urban practice and so has a very broad range of clinical skills spanning all aspects of medicine.

Through the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) Dr Mugford has undertaken both Level 1 Mental Health Skills Training (MHST) and Level 2 Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS). This gives him the knowledge and skills to provide you with the best mental health care available at the primary care level.

His special interests are mental health, men's health, skin checks and removal of skin cancers, as well as sorts medicine.

Dr Sandra Scinto

Sandra obtained her medical degree with honours from Adelaide University in 1997. She worked for 6 years in public hospitals, including 3 years of paediatric experience at the Women’s and Children’s hospital, during which time she obtained a Diploma of Child Health. She obtained her fellowship of General Practice in 2005.Sandra retains a strong interest in paediatrics, and has spent a year working at Torrens House gaining extra experience in managing baby settling and feeding issues. She is keen to support the wellbeing of families, not just mothers and babies, but also the fathers. Procedures offered are wound management, implanon insertion and removal, and iron infusions.

Dr Scinto has previously been involved in GP registrar training and has been an examiner for the college of GP’s.

Madeline completed her qualifications in Adelaide, with her post-graduate training at Flinders Medical Centre and through Sturt-Fleurieu General Practice Education and Training. She attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006.

Madeline has a special interest in Travel Medicine, and holds a Certificate in Travel Medicine from the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM). She is an active member of the ISTM, and has attended a number of courses and continuing education programs, including attending the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Madeline counts Brazil and Cambodia among her favourite past travel destinations.

Dr Sanders graduated in 1994 from Adelaide University. After completing some years in adult hospital medicine and also a Diploma of Child Health at the Women’s and Children’s hospital she began her career in General Practice. She obtained the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2001. After spending five years in Oxford UK working in hospitals and general practice, she returned to Adelaide in 2007. Since then she has been working in general practice.

She is interested in all aspects of general practice. In particular the early detection and management of chronic disease, womens and children’s health.

Dr Kyra Barnes has recently joined our practice and consults on Monday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday, she welcomes both new and existing patients of the practice for all of their general practice matters. She has an interest in gastrointestinal health, adolescent and geriatric health and all areas of general medicine.

Dr Barnes has a warm and friendly demeanor and looks forward to caring for you and your family.

Dr Katherine Ryan

Dr Katherine Ryan joined Hyde Park Medical Clinic in 2024 and currently consults on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Ryan completed her medical training in Adelaide in 2019, graduating with Distinction from Flinders University and winning the Jane Preston Memorial Prize in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Chancellors letters of recommendation. She has worked in multiple hospitals across Adelaide with extended positions in Paediatrics and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr Ryan became a fellow of RACGP in 2024. She has a Diploma of Child Health as well as a Bachelor of Medical Science in Pathology.

Combining clinical expertise with a compassionate approach, Dr Ryan strives to create a supportive environment where patients can discuss their health concerns openly and receive personalized guidance on maintaining their well-being throughout all stages of life.

Outside of medicine Dr Ryan loves spending time outdoors on adventures with her family and dog Teddy.

Dr Joanna Starkey graduated medicine from the University of Queensland in 2005 after completing a double degree in Arts and Science with Honours and moved back to Adelaide soon after. Dr Starkey’s clinical background includes eight years of experience in diverse hospital settings as part of Intensive Care training. In 2013 Dr Starkey transitioned from Intensive Care to General Practice training and graduated as a Fellow of the RACGP in 2015..

Dr Starkey enjoys all aspects of general practice from caring for babies through to older patients and is accredited for shared antenatal care.

Practiced in General Practice since 1991 in South Australia,

20 years at my own solo practice in Stirling 1999-2019

My areas of clinical interest are:

Mental health
Benign and malignant skin removals

My interests include family (1 daughter 3 sons all university students), fishing, skiing, gardening, bushwalking, geology, astronomy, and philosophy, the odd game of golf (poorly)

Karl graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1992. He did his initial hospital training at Westmead Hospital and Gosford Hospital in New South Wales.

Karl returned to Adelaide and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners ( RACGP ) in 1997.

Karl ran his solo practice for 25 years . As a result he has extensive knowledge of caring for people's total medical needs over many years and has a large patient following.

Karl's passion lies in Mental Health management but he also has interests in Men's Health and Chronic Disease management.

Karl's outside interests include chess ( a semi addiction) , bushwalking , photography and squash (when he is not injured).
